Book trailer. Design and direction of the book trailer for the futuristic novel by Daniel H. Wilson, to be used as an audiovisual piece to promote the book via social networking sites. The novel, edited under the Plaza & Janés label, reconstructs the epic struggle between human civilization and the machines that try to annihilate it, combining science fiction with human emotions and tragedy. In 2013 the big screen adaptation of the novel, directed by Steven Spielberg, is due to go on release in the United States. 

We produced the piece using a combination of shots from the filming, close-ups of the robot’s face (used to illustrate the book’s front cover), postproduction and animation of graphic elements which suggest technology and destruction. Image editing and processing are designed to transmit an unsettling idea of the power of destruction, approaching the language used in the thriller and focusing particularly on the audio soundtrack effects.
