Zeligstudio took part this past June 26 in the Projects Presentation and Evaluation Committee for the Postgraduate Final Projects in Motion Graphics. Ana Zelich sat on the Committee, together with Toni Colomer, Head of Design at TV3 and Aleix Fernández, Coordinator of Multimedia Design at TV3.
The interesting feature about the branding projects presented for a hypothetical Culture Channel was that, in addition to developing the naming and covering the entire screen graphic packaging, the candidates were also required to present several options for user/spectator interactivity, using graphics solutions in line with the proposed image.
Zeligstudio attended the OFFF Barcelona 2012 Festival which was held in Barcelona during the 17, 18 and 19 May. This year’s event was an intense affair, the theme for which was Unknown Disorder, featuring renowned artists such as Joshua Davis, Lucy McRae, Memo Akten, James Victore, Jessica Hische and a wealth of other artists from a host of different backgrounds displaying a huge variety of projects. One of the highlights had to be the conference given by Andreu Balius for its sheer informative, educational, enriching and entertaining content.

We produced the book trailer for the story “El Barco de Luna” (The Moon Boat) for the Red Button agency. This story was the winning entry in the short story competition organized by Ecoembes through its blog “Amarillo Verde y Azul” (Yellow, Green and Blue being the color-coded waste management disposal containers used in Barcelona). The story tells the tale of a girl, named Luna, who lives on the outskirts of Managua and works every day in the immense Chureca rubbish dump with her family. Her dreams and imagination are to transport her to a better world.
The competition, “Los profes cuentan” (The teachers tell) came to its successful completion on April 26th last at the ceremony held in the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid. During the event, the jury, presided over by Ana María Matute, presented the award to the author of the winning entry, Leticia Rodríguez Gancedo followed by a screening of the animation piece produced by Zeligstudio for the event.
The book trailer will subsequently be used in Internet to promote the book on social networking sites and all money raised will be donated to the charity Aldeas Infantiles SOS.

On April 25, Zeligstudio participated in the Postgraduate in Motion Graphics at the Escuela Superior de Diseño (IDEP) in Barcelona, with a class focused on specific aspects of production.
Fabiana Andreatta, Production and Communication Manager at Zeligstudio, presented several projects from the initial commissioning stage right the way throughout each production process.
The lecture focused on presenting an outline of work processes, drawing on channel branding and TV program identity projects which involved filming, in addition to animation and graphics, such as Neox/Rock in Rio, Un lugar donde Vivir or Castilla La Mancha TV). The lecture also dealt with several communication-related issues within the Motion Graphics environment.
Zeligstudio was in Europe PromaxBDA conference held this year in Barcelona. Apart from lectures, always somewhat uneven, it was great to see all our Spanish colleagues and of course meet so many interesting people from the European television. See you all next year in Paris!
